<p/><br></br><p><b> Book Synopsis </b></p></br></br><p>This book aims to explore China's miracle under the context of complex world full of uncertainties. The author knows China's history well which makes it possible to find clues to shape China's status quo and conduct logic behind. The book is composed of six chapters. Chapter 1 concisely narrates China's history and explores why unity has been a fundamental element in its course. Chapter 2 elaborates on the BRI. Chapter 3 discusses Sino-European relations. Chapter 4 functions as a case state that examines relations between an EU and NATO member states, Greece, with China. Chapter 5 re-contextualizes the debate about China by looking into the way interconnectedness and the skeleton of globalization permit it to weather storms in the global arena. The book is synthesized around six chapters, namely "The Renaissance of China,""The New Silk Road,""Building a Future for China and Europe,""Greece, the Pearl of the Mediterranean and Regional Interconnectivity," and "The Pendulum of International Relations." These chapters outline the continuity in China's history, the contribution of CPC to the country's stability, the virtue of the Chinese leadership not only learn from mistakes but also to make difficult decisions for the long-term and the gradual evolution of a liturgical win-win attitude in world affairs. The book concludes with a special sixth chapter titled "China and the COVID-19 Pandemic." This chapter discusses China's response to the novel corona- virus and new opportunities and risks for stability in international affairs. The possibility for closer synergies between China and the EU to keep multilateralism alive is sketched out and the logic behind China's led organic connectivity in Europe and beyond is demystified. <p/><p/><br></br><p><b> About the Author </b></p></br></br><p>Dr George N. Tzogopoulos is Director of EU-China Programmes and Lecturer at the European Institute of Nice (Centre international de formation européenne, CIFE) and teaches International Relations at the Democritus University of Thrace. He is also Fellow at the Hellenic Foundation for European and Foreign Policy (ELIAMEP) and the Begin Sadat Center for Strategic Studies (BESA). George holds a BA in History from the University of Athens (Greece), an MA in Mediterranean Studies from King's College London (University of London, UK), an MA in European Studies from the European Institute of Nice (France) and a PhD in Social Sciences from Loughborough University (UK). His previous books are: <i>US Foreign Policy in the European Media: Framing the Rise and Fall of Neoconservatism </i>(IB TAURIS) and <i>The Greek Crisis in the Media: Stereotyping in the International Press</i> (Ashgate). </p>
