He has owned Nurseries, Florists and Garden Centers in the UK and managed a large greenhouse operation in the desert in Abu Dhabi for Sheikh Zayed. For the last 30 years, he has operated commercial greenhouses in the interior of British Columbia, Canada, where the climate for growing vegetables creates many problems for gardeners. He still operates the nursery, although on a smaller scale where he teaches organic gardening to local gardeners and gives talks on many aspects of growing healthy crops.
