Excellent resource and easy to read. I highly recommend this series and think you will soon find the pages being worn from so much use. I have already let a teacher borrow my copy.

Stephanie Holloway
Licensed Specialist Clinical Social Worker and Registered Play Therapist-Supervisor

Trauma is something we all experience but many educators are just learning about what trauma is and how it effects learning. I found this book to be a quick, but good read of what trauma and ACES are. I loved how it took you through what you could do to improve the culture of the school community from classroom structure to interventions and response. The points to consider also allow you to evaluate your own processes and procedures. I highly recommend.

Carol Miller
School Counselor, Facebook @middleschoolcounselor

About the Author

Dr. Melissa Louvar Reeves, Ph.D., NCSP, LCMHC is an Associate Professor at Winthrop University.
