He is a Lecturer in the Women's, Gender & Sexuality Studies Program at the University of Houston. He is the co-editor of <i>Encuentro: Latinx Performance for the New American Theater</i> (Northwestern University Press, 2019) and <i>Nerds, Goths, Geeks, and Freaks: Outsiders in Chicanx and Latinx Young Adult Literature</i> (University Press of Mississippi, 2020). <p>Carla Della Gatta is a theatre historian and performance scholar. She is Assistant Professor of English at Florida State University. She received the J Leeds Barroll Dissertation Prize from the Shakespeare Association of America for her work on Shakespeare and Latinidad. She has published widely in journals such as <i>Shakespeare Survey</i>, <i>Shakespeare Studies</i>, and <i>Bulletin of the Comediantes</i>.
