She completed an English degree at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, and Vision Science and Optometry degrees at Nova Southeastern University. Hamm is the older sister of Olympic gymnasts: Morgan Hamm and Paul Hamm, and much of her childhood was spent pursuing her dreams.
