As a shop owner she sold needlecraft supplies and taught classes in knitting, crewelwork, crochet, needlepoint, weaving, bargello, embroidery and cross-stitch. As president and co-owner of Pine Tree Knitters, she designed knitted skiwear, oversaw a production staff and marketed finished items to L.L. Bean, Eddie Bauer and others. She has worked on countless books and magazines and one of her designs is in <i>The Vogue Knitting Book</i>.
