He has degrees in philosophy, politics, and psychology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and the University of Oxford, and he has completed his doctorate in philosophy at the University of Arizona. His work has been published in outlets such as the Encyclopedia of Leadership, Journal of Political Philosophy, and Leadership Quarterly. He is author of Understanding Ethical Failures in Leadership on Cambridge University Press and co-editor of the three-volume reference set The International Library of Leadership.
