Primal Roots uses fruit from California’s appellation, harvested, crushed, destemmed, and cold-soaked for three days to allow juice/skin contact before fermentation. This process yields a deep color, rich texture, and more concentrated fruit flavors. The finished blend captures all of the wild, sweet, and intense flavors. Its rich, balanced texture makes you want to explore its many layers. Aromas of black cherry, plum, black currant, caramel, and hints of dark chocolate give way to a full bodied red blend with a soft entry, balanced fruit and tannins, and a lingering ripe cocoa finish. The rich core of black cherry, dark fruit, and spicy oak are truly uninhibited. Varietal: 34% syrah, 30% merlot, 20% zinfandel.
