TAP WORLD is an award-winning feature-length documentary starring the most cutting-edge tap dancers from across the globe. This documentary follows leaders of the art form who are shaping the community around them. Their personal stories of inspiration, struggle and triumph are keeping tap alive and thriving internationally.

Tap dancing has its roots in the 19th century but became a fixture of 20th century entertainment through the performances of such fleet-footed legends of stage and screen as Bill "Bojangles" Robinson and the Nicholas Brothers. Later, such dancers as Gregory Hines and Savion Glover gave the art form new life and made tap appealing to a whole new generation at the turn of the century.

For TAP WORLD, tap dancers of all ages were encouraged to share their individual journey to be considered for inclusion in the film. More than 115 submissions were received from more than a dozen countries. The most compelling were chosen and weaved into the film alongside some of the masters of tap.
