She is the award-winning author of several books for children including Ellen's Broom, a Coretta Scott King illustrator award book, and Hope's Gift. Luke Flowers graduated from Rocky Mountain College of Art & Design with a BFA in Illustration. He was the lead creative for Young Life Creative Services before starting his own studio, Luke Flowers Creative, where he illustrates and writes for children's books and magazines. He lives in Colorado with his wife and children.
