Amy's mom, Rachel, has a dear friend, Carmel, who is of Korean heritage and suggested this popular dish to us. Bibimbap (which means "mixed rice") is a traditional Korean rice bowl with assorted vegetables and chili pepper sauce, enjoyed by mixing everything together. Amy's version, created by Korean-American chef Kay Chun, starts with a bed of organic rice, barley and quinoa layered with tender carrots, spinach, shiitake mushrooms, crisp bean sprouts and our seasoned house-made tofu. Toasted sesame seeds and a traditional Korean gochujang sauce, made with red chili paste for a mild, peppery kick, top off the dish. We hope you enjoy the taste of Korea!
