Monarda, also known as Bee Balm, has fascinating scented masses of large flowers. It is a vigorous clump-forming herbaceous perennial sure to return for years to come if planted zone appropriate. Thrives just about anywhere. The blossoms are difficult to describe but very decorative. The leaves are mint scented and are edible. Known to attract scores of butterflies and hummingbirds.
