The early explorations of the river were the wellspring to go and see what was over the next hill and around the next curve and the motivation for adventure that led to the adventures stories in the book.<p/><br></br><p><b> About the Author </b></p></br></br>Timothy Lemucchi is a fourth generation Californian, born and raised in Bakersfield. He lives with his wife Margaret and family on the banks of the historic Kern River. Lemucchi received BA and MA degrees from Stanford University where he was enrolled in the creative writing program. He received a JD degree from Georgetown University. He attended college at the University of Mexico and the University of the Americas in Mexico City. He has practiced law in California for fifty-six years. He frequently writes on topics of criminal law and justice. His first book: Luigi's-100 years, then and now was about his Italian grandparents 120 year old East Bakersfield restaurant. His second book, The Williams Brothers traced the challenges faced by his great grandfather and his three brothers who rode horses from Missouri to Sutter's Fort in California in 1843.
