I describe how the daily practice of yoga and meditation, and a vegan diet, helped me out of a midlife crisis and led me to a new, better direction in my life, with baseball as my guide.

This book chronicles the path of Jon Perrin, my good friend and colleague at Satya Investment Management, the asset management firm I founded several years ago. I follow Perrin on his road to the show and recount several interesting and surprising adventures he experiences in his travels through baseball's minor league system. I introduce several other baseball personalities and events, some more well-known than others, as well as some ballplayers Perrin befriended on his baseball journey.

Additionally, this book follows the road to the show for Shohei Ohtani, a sensation as a rookie, and tells stories about baseball legends Babe Ruth, Willie Mays and Hank Aaron. My readers travel with me to cities, airports and baseball stadiums across the American landscape and share my experiences as an author and die-hard baseball fanatic. I hope my readers enjoy the ride as much as I did.

As you might have guessed, I use "the road to the show" as a metaphor for life. "The Show" is symbolic for achieving goals, whatever they may be. The road is not flat or straight. There will be ups and downs along the way. But whether you are a minor league baseball player, a musician, a financial advisor or whatever else you might aspire to be in life, you will learn from every accomplishment and setback, and keep moving forward on your own road to the show. May the Baseball Gods always be with you!
