Book Synopsis

The God of Hope: A Daily devotional for Hope is a collection of thoughts and prayers inspired by the Holy Spirit. Life can be at times an uphill climb and it is through the faith that we have, no matter how small, that can move the mountains in front of us, or inspire us to climb the mountain one step and one day, at a time!

About the Author

Susan Maurer was born in San Diego, California, and raised in Texas. She came to know her faith in Texas in the midst of a normal, secular crisis. It was then that she knew there was more to her day-to-day life. Susan and her family moved to Florida, not knowing what they would find, but she knew that the Holy Spirit was urging her to move. Today, she works with a strip club ministry to help those who are vulnerable realize they too are loved. Susan considers her faith and family to be the most important aspects of her life.

Susan spends her worship time in the morning, writing the words she receives each morning from the Holy Spirit to bring hope to others. Each morning, she shares these prayers with many who feel lost or need to hear the words to know they are loved.

Susan is a wife, mother, and businesswoman of forty-two years, who felt the strong calling several years ago. Like most, it took many years of testing to truly understand the calling of her life. Susan was urged both by the women she ministers to and the Holy Spirit to publish these prayers.

It is her hope that these prayers will be used to touch the lives and hearts of others and give them the hope they need to stand firm and know they are loved. Susan uses the trials and tribulations in her own life as the basis to relate to those who are lost or vulnerable. In her secular life, Susan wants to give back and show others that grace is given to all of us who believe in Jesus. It is her hope that you take these words that the Holy Spirit has spoken and that they bring hope and light to your mornings.
