She attended the famed Brooklyn Technical High School where she received several creative writing awards. She went on to study creative writing at St. Joseph's College. Her debut novel is set for release by Urban Books in early 2020. Imani currently resides in Brooklyn with her dog, Eli. She loves spending quality time studying film, writing, and reading.
