She lives in West Virginia, where old-time fiddlers play throughout the seasons. <p/><b>Barry Root</b> has illustrated many books, including Paul Fleischman's <i>The Birthday Tree </i>and Ted Kooser's <i>Bag in the Wind.</i>He lives in Pennsylvania.
