In pursuing her increased passion for the trails, Jennifer has now completed over 8,000 miles of trails, including the Pacific Crest Trail, the Long Trail, and two traverses of the Appalachian Trail. She is currently the fastest woman to hike the Appalachian Trail, completing the trek in 57 days and averaging 38 miles a day. She has shared her many experiences on the trail through Blue Ridge Outdoors Magazine and Away.com. In 2009, Jennifer returned to Charlotte and continued her love affair with the North Carolina piedmont hiking by writing Best Easy Day Hikes Charlotte. Jennifer now lives in Asheville and is the owner and founder of Blue Ridge Hiking Co.
