This is her first children's book. While weaning her own child, she was inspired to create it out of a desire to capture the loving intimacy of nursing and to assist others with the sometimes difficult, but ultimately positive, natural and exciting transition of weaning. Raised on Long Island, she currently resides in San Diego with her family.
