About the Book

Pablo the Basset Hound is the story of a puppy who wishes to be any dog breed other than a Basset Hound. He uses his impeccable sense of smell to make him the star he never dreamed of being.

Book Synopsis

Pablo the Basset Hound is a children's book that will make everyone - not only those who are already in love with bassets - smile. Basset Hounds are adorable, but their sense of smell and ability to ground-scent are what they are known and bred for.
Pablo the Basset Hound shows that every dog has its own skills and should be appreciated for them - just as every child has its own personality and strengths.
This children's book emphasizes that beauty comes in all shapes and forms and should be recognized as such. Pablo the Basset is a great story for all. Through the mouth of this little basset, an important lesson can be learned: everyone has a talent -perhaps a different one, perhaps not the most obvious nor the most glamorous one - and once discovered, it will be impressive and meaningful.
Pablo the Basset celebrates the uniqueness of all personalities.
In reading this story, children can relate to Pablo's feelings and also understand that they are loved for their own individuality.

About the Author

Carine Chitayat grew up in Geneva, Switzerland.
