The next moment, a drunk driver plowed through a red light at eighty miles per hour, hitting their van and changing everything.

The death of both their children launched Beth and Rick down a long and winding path toward simple survival--and eventual healing. As shock gave way to the cruel reality of their loss, they began receiving messages that proved the existence of life after death--a welcome sign that aided them in moving forward.

The Olsens soon attempted traditional healing methods but quickly found that counseling did nothing to help them get a grasp on their monumental loss. Inspired, inspiring, a tale of hope in the face of the most terrible loss. A work of beauty, finely crafted, and much needed by all. Read this Book! Alberto Villoldo Bestselling author of One Spirit Medicine and Shaman, Healer, Sage. I've never read any book that packed an emotional and motivational punch as this one. It really made me appreciate little things in my life more. "We Never Left You" is amazing, moving, emotional, and a book with multiple meanings that will stay with you for years to come. After Dark Reading Nook The Olsens go through the usual healing methods, like counseling, which doesn't help. Deciding to go the non-traditional route, they end up on a journey to Peru, where they finally start healing, and start understanding everything happens for a reason. They also grow convinced - and for me, this was the sweetest part of the book, the part that completely ripped my heart out yet still made me smile - their children are still with them. This gives me hope. Majanka Not knowing what type of journey I would experience reading this memoir, I cleared my schedule, dedicating my day to it. I began, and as I read I wished I was reading fiction. I wished that I would get to the end and have my heart comforted that this wasn't reality. Instead it was from the imaginations of two brilliant authors. But this was no fiction. This was someone's reality. This was the pain of a family. Beth and Rick Olsen walks us through the horrific dilemma that left their two young children, Joshua and Jessica dead. They bared their raw souls, leaving no emotion in the dark. They showed us how the death of their 'little worlds' changed their relationships with family, friends and even God. It was a powerful story and gripped my heart and refused to release it. Chantol Aspinall Beth States at one point that she felt like she wrote this book to help others and she is right. I cannot fathom their loss of their children, for I'm not a mother, but having recently lost my Mom, I can understand the not knowing if she is still with me. Through Beth and Rick's story, I know know she is. Thank you both for sharing your beautiful and poignant story with us. You have indeed helped others and you have definitely helped me. I highly encourage anyone dealing with a loss of a loved one to read this book. You will not regret it. It's a book that you will cherish for always. I know I will. Michelle Westmoreland If you are facing a terrible loss, I recommend this thoughtful, honest book. If you are fortunate enough to not have faced a painful loss, I recommend it as a window into the thoughts of people that are suffering so that you may be able to help people who are. Thomas Nye Their story will bring tears to your eyes, and you will feel their pain. The author tells the story from the couple's point of view so you can understand how the tragedy changes their lives separately and together. Beth and Rick experienced the stages of the grieving process at different times, but they were there for each other. Often times this type of loss will cause couples to split apart, but this couple grew closer together. The couple found ways to connect to their children after their deaths in different methods, but through that connection they found a way to communicate with them and still survive here without them in this world. Melinda Dean It is hard to imagine putting the pieces of life back together again after a tragedy such as Beth and Rick endured, but in their book "We Never Left You" they teach us it is possible to do just that and show how their proactive measures not only helped them move on, but also gave them new meaning to life. I sat down to read it and didn't stop until it was done. Debbie Werner
