I appreciated how the book would dip into therapy sessions where Lori was being treated as well as Lori treating others and dealing with her family. The concept of a therapist in treatment was pretty phenomenal, kind of like a play within a play, especially from the therapist-as-patient perspective in which Lori gave us in-depth thoughts on the situation and her hesitancies in the treatment. My favorite line out of the entire book came at the end, "For the moment, at least." (p. 239) Which, to me, spoke specifically to how happy endings always have a tomorrow, and in therapy the goal is to keep building toward an incomplete peace that is not always practical and attainable... The production quality was also substantial, since both the front and back covers evoke a gorgeous look into the book's essence. Garfield should know that this book has a lot of potential, and I hope she'll send us her next work.
