Hans Christian Andersen (1805-1875) was a Danish author, best known for his fairy tales which include The Little Mermaid, The Snow Queen and The Emperor's New Clothes. Scott Plumbe was born on the west coast of Canada. He is an award-winning illustrator, designer and fine artist whose work appears in books, games and magazines including National Geographic Kids. He lives in Vancouver with his young family.
