Rhymes were well-done, lengthy and often informative which added tremendous value to this children's book. Artwork was phenomenal with my favorites being the multitude of swallows with the silhouettes of the buildings along the bottom of the page and the conga line of whales beneath the waves passing along the birthday message. Book also provides some "Parrot Points"(factoids) and a quiz at the end of which you can visit a website to get the answers (smart!) I loved the bright beautiful colours of the animals and surroundings, the friendly warm characters and tales told in cheerful rhyme gently emphasising the importance of friendship and family values. Beautifully illustrated by the author herself, none of these three books.
