Zinfandel, Dry Creek Valley, Sonoma County, 2014 Gina Gallo - Winemaker. 1933. Our family has been growing grapes and making wine in California for more than 80 years. We farm for the future, taking care to protect the delicate balance between nature and agriculture. We let the land speak through the vine, while ensuring our vineyards are preserved for generations to come. This zinfandel comes from our prestigious vineyards in the Dry Creek Valley, one of the world's premier zinfandel regions. A portion of the blend was made with grapes from the historic Frei Ranch Vineyard, where we've set aside an acre of natural habitat for every acre planted to vine. Our Dry Creek Valley zinfandel opens with intense aromas and flavors of black currant, cassis and white pepper, framed by notes of vanilla and toasted coconut from oak aging. - Gina Gallo, Winemaker.
