<p/><br></br><p><b> Book Synopsis </b></p></br></br>A small Southern town in the Upstate of South Carolina, known as Central, is the main setting for the Head family and the many stories shared and passed down for generations. These stories are intertwined with legends, tales, and historical facts to examine life in the early to mid-1900's. Other locations in South Carolina and Western North Carolina are included in these stories as well. Life at a simple place and time, long before technology ruled the world, is presented. Even though simple and basic, this way of life served as the foundation for growth and the opportunities seen today. Armed with ingenuity, intelligence, and a strong work ethic, numerous business endeavors were developed. Having limitless faith, as well as the ability to love and to see the good in people, the Head family forged generations of good will. The love of God and Country was practiced. Landmarks were developed and remain in place today for others to follow. Ann Rowland Hamlin is a native of Central, South Carolina. She graduated from DW Daniel High School in Central. She attended Clemson University and received a Bachelor of Science in nursing and later obtained a Master of Science in nursing as well. After a nursing career spanning almost thirty years, she is retired. She loves to cook, travel and cheer for her Clemson Tigers. She is a cat mom to five fur babies. Faith and family are her passions. This book was written as a work of love to share with her family and future generations.
