Book Synopsis

The topic of the Judgment Seat of Christ is often neglected by today's church.

"For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive the things done in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad" (2 Corinthians 5:10).

The salvation of the soul is probably one of the most misunderstood concepts in the Church today. Most people think that the salvation of the spirit and the salvation of the soul are the same thing even though the Scriptures tell us something different.

The salvation of a person's spirit is very simple. Acts 16:30-31 tells us: "30)'Sirs, what must I do to be saved?' 31)...So they said, 'Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and your household.'" The salvation of the spirit is based on the finished work of our Saviour Jesus Christ at Calvary - the spirit is saved simply by believing on the Lord Jesus Christ.

While the spirit is saved by faith in Christ, the soul is being saved based upon the faithfulness of the believer. The salvation of the soul is dependent on the life that we live after our spirit is saved. If we allow the Holy Spirit to control our life we can realize the salvation of our soul, which will ultimately be determined at the Judgment Seat of Christ.

When Jesus returns, He will review all of our lives to determine whether we have been faithful and obedient doers of His Word.

Learn about:

Difference between the salvation of spirit and soul,

What Jesus meant by "take up your cross."

How the Word of God can save our souls,

When the salvation of our soul takes place,

How to prepare for the Judgment Seat of Christ

The purpose of this book is to help believers examine their lives and assist them in becoming faithful overcomers who will be qualified to rule and reign with Christ in the coming Kingdom. After we have experienced the salvation of our spirit, it is imperative that we allow the Word of God to sanctify us completely in order to realize the salvation of our soul.

Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you completely; and may your whole spirit, soul, and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. (1Th 5:23)

This book will prepare you so that you will be able to hear Christ say:

"Well done, good and faithful servant...Enter into the joy of your lord" (Matthew 25:21).

Review Quotes

Most believers never learn the critical distinction between salvation of the spirit unto eternal life and salvation of the soul (sanctification) unto reward. Jim Harman clearly distinguishes between the two in his excellent volume, Salvation of the Soul. Understanding this truth is indispensable for preparing to meet Jesus at the Judgment Seat of Christ. I am so thankful for Brother Harman's excellent resource that rightly divides the Scriptures.

James S. Hollandsworth, pastor and author www.KingdomPreparation.com

Having just read Jim Harman's Salvation of the Soul, I find it to be one of the most provocative and thoughtful presentations I have ever read on the distinctive differences of soul and spirit salvation. I highly commend it for personal study and edification. You will be blessed.

Jim Henry - Pastor Emeritus, First Baptist Orlando, Orlando, FL

Jim Harman's work on the salvation of the soul is greatly needed and his burden for "souls" is evident. This book, in a concise manner, shows the believer how their soul can be saved. Jim explains how salvation of the soul is only applicable to believers and is a product of sanctification. He rightly divides the gift of God, which is absent from works, and the reward of God, which is according to works. His focus upon on the Word of God is refreshing. His willingness to let the Word speak is brave. So many preach what they have always been taught or understood and are unwilling to examine the potential that what they have been taught is wrong. Not so with Jim's book Salvation of the Soul. Jim brings great light on this many times wrongly understood subject.

Scott Crawford - Author of Perseverance Pays: Winning the Crown of Life www.Wordoftruthclass.org

Every Christian needs to read Salvation of the Soul. Few in the body of Christ are aware of the important truths in this book. Your action on its teaching will determine your outcome at the Judgment Seat of Christ. Daniel Rydstedt Author of Be the Bride Series

Salvation of the Soul clearly expresses one of the most critical messages specifically directed for God's children. By properly understanding the complete tripartite salvation message, you will not only be able to see the harmony in Scripture, but you will also be in a position of achieving the abundant, overcoming life God desires. Charles Strong - Bible One Ministries

James Harman's new book gives believers a desperately needed "wake-up call." Most have been deluded into thinking that the message of salvation is simply a "heaven or hell" choice. Salvation of the Soul will help you see what is at stake when we stand before the Judgment Seat of Christ. Tom Finley - Author of The Victorious Christian Life
