With an f/4 fixed maximum aperture, the lens performs beautifully in low light and lets you maintain consistent exposure while zooming in and out, resulting in detailed and delicate photographs and videos. Moreover, the NIKKOR 70-200mm has maximum magnification of 0.274x and a close focal capability of 3.28-feet which will let you photograph the smallest of subjects in exquisite detail even at a decent working distance. Vibration Reduction (VR) The Vibration Reduction (VR) technology improves image stability by automatically compensating for camera shake. Silent Wave Motor (SWM) Nikon's Silent Wave Motor (SWM) technology provides rapid auto-focusing while remaining exceedingly quiet and accurate. Traveling Waves are transformed into a rotational energy that focuses the optics. Nano Crystal Coat This lens features an anti-reflective coating developed by Nikon that virtually eliminates internal lens element reflections across a wide range of wavelengths. Nano Crystal Coat solves ghost effects caused by red light and effectively reduces ghost and flare caused by light entering the lens diagonally. Manual/Auto (M/A) Focus Mode The NIKKOR lens has a focusing mode which allows switching from automatic to manual focusing with virtually no lag time by simply turning the focusing ring on the lens. This makes it possible to seamlessly switch to fine manual focusing while looking through the viewfinder. Super Integrated Coating Nikon Super Integrated Coating is Nikon's term for its multilayer coating of the optical elements in NIKKOR lenses. ED (Extra-Low Dispersion) Glass An optical glass developed by Nikon that is used with normal optical glass in telephoto lenses to obtain optimum correction of chromatic aberrations.
