He married Mary Wollstonecraft, who died shortly after giving birth to their daughter, the novelist Mary Shelley.<br><p>Maurice Hindle edited <b>Frankenstein</b> and <b>Dracula</b> for Penguin Classics and teaches at the Open University.</p>
