Rinpoche was born in 1946 in the village of Thami in the Solo Khumbu region of Nepal near Mount Everest. His books include <i>Transforming Problems into Happiness</i><i>, How to Be Happy</i>, and <i>Ultimate Healing</i>. He lives in Aptos, California.
