Book Synopsis

The many changes to daily life since the start of the Coronavirus pandemic can be confusing and frightening to children. Using sing-song rhymes and accessible language, this book gives young children a basic understanding of why these changes have happened and how we hope that, over time, life will slowly begin to get back to normal. Written by physicians specializing in pediatrics and immunology, and illustrated by a professional artist, the story highlights the things we can still do and ways the world can come together to support one another through these challenging times. All proceeds from the book are donated to charitable organizations. Proceeds earned from September 2020 through February 2021 were donated to No Kid Hungry, an organization providing food to vulnerable children and teaching families to cook healthy, affordable meals. All proceeds beginning in March 2021 will go to UNICEF's relief work with COVID-19.* UNICEF's mission to "provide health care and immunizations, safe water and sanitation, nutrition, education, emergency relief and more" to children is at the heart of our intentions with this book. We believe colorful and creative communication can help educate the children we reach, providing a valuable tool to their parents and teachers. Additionally, proceeds from the book will go directly towards vaccination efforts around the world through UNICEF. *No portion of the purchase price is tax deductible.
