Mods, or "Scooter Boys" as they also became known, were a phenominon that shook the world. Mods & Rockers clashed, sometimes, but mostly were peaceful. Only the Press blew stories out of proportion. Lucky was a teenager from Great Yarmouth who became a Mod in 1963, then a Scooter Boy in 1964. In this book some of his memories are recalled in a colourful way, helping to preserve a bit more of this extraordinary era.

In adition to Lucky's story, or at least the ones he could tell, there is a chapter dedicated to the GY 65 CLUB, one of the very first scooter clubs in Great Britain. Another chapter runs through the essential history of scooters, showing Lambretta and Vespa production and advertising. This is a colorful book that bookstores will want on their shelves as it's honest and fascenating readin.

Review Quotes

"Takes me right back!"
