Modgekar, provide an entertaining and fun story time read in Childrens' Author Mary Ann Vitale's "Hidden Treasures in a Book". Parents and children alike will find treasure hunts, riddles, puzzles, mysteries, and--most importantly--a world filled with brightness and the beauty of the Creator as they follow young Karlina and her amicable friends on each of their short but delightful adventures. While Vitale gently stresses the values of faith, learning, family, and friendship in these seven relevant and engaging tales, children will come to appreciate that all the wonders of this world, and perhaps even some insights into the next, can be revealed through a healthy sense of curiosity, faith, optimism, and positive interaction with elders and peers. While some of the words in Vitale's stories may be a bit difficult for very young children (ages 4-6) to read and understand on their own, it is never too early for a parent/guardian to start building a child's vocabulary skills. And since reading together is a perfect bonding experience, I recommend "Hidden Treasures in a Book" for children, ages 3 and up, whose parents and/or mentors wish to read with them and stress the ideals of Christian faith and family.

Hidden Treasures in a Book is full of just the sort of things children's dreams are made of. I purchased this book for my grandsons and I have read the stories over and over to them. Their favorite happens to be Simon, the Red Fish. This is a wonderful purchase with seven different tales for ages seven on up or a read to by a parent or teacher. With a collection of Christian-based tales it is a great keepsake for a family favorite. Every story is different and each one contains a special message for children. The brightly colored illustrations also captivate their attention.

This lovely collection of Christian-based tales makes a perfect bedtime read-aloud for little ones. Each story contains a special message for children and provides excellent reading-with-children talking points for adult readers. Hidden Treasures in a Book contains seven beautiful stories the little ones will want to hear again and again.

We loved this wonderful book of stories about angels, dwarfs, stars, and rainbows. My grandchildren enjoyed all of the stories. We are looking forward to reading the next book.
