In the cause of the children, he went banging on the door of his Victorian world and refused to stop until the day he died.<p/><br></br><p><b> About the Author </b></p></br></br><b>Martin Levy </b>grew up in the same neighbourhood as Thomas Barnardo in the East End of London and went to school with the grandchildren of Barnardo boys. He worked for a Christian educational charity for eleven years until he retired in 2000. Martin lives in Redhill, Surrey.
