Her first book for children, <i>The Snow Wombat</i>, illustrated by Mark Jackson, was short-listed for the 2017 Children's Book Council of Australia Book of the Year Awards. <i>Laura Wood </i>studied illustration in Melbourne, Australia, where she started her illustration career. She currently works as a freelance illustrator. She is the illustrator of <i>What Do They Do with All the Poo from All the Animals in the Zoo?</i> by Anh Do, <i>The Cow Who Tripped Over the Moon</i>, and <i>Hickory, Dickory, Dash</i> by Tony Wilson.
