Full facsimile of the original edition, not reproduced with Optical Recognition software. English-French-German language edition. The Arban Method is a complete pedagogical method for students of trumpet, cornet, and other brass instruments. The original edition was published by Jean-Baptiste Arban circa 1859 and has remained in print since that time. It contains hundreds of exercises, ranging in difficulty from more simple to complex. The method begins with basic exercises and progresses to very advanced compositions, including the famous arrangement of Carnival of Venice. Many consider it a trumpeter's bible. Arban discusses every aspect of playing -- including articulation, tonguing, slurs, tone, and range -- sharing the knowledge he acquired from many years of experience as a teacher and performer. He offers an appreciation of all the instrument's inherent difficulties as well as instructive points that touch upon all possible musical questions. Reprint of the Fischer, 1912 edition.
