Her research interests include contemporary directing, Elizabethan spectacle, and the performance of folklore. She has published in various theatre journals and periodicals, including <i>Medieval English Theatre, Theatre Survey, Theatre Symposium, </i>and <i>American Theatre. </i>Dr. Marty is also a dramaturg and director.
